We went to the Taree Craft Centre in Pulteney Street recently to see the beautiful quilt exhibition. Fantastic show. Also bought some really well made and pretty handicrafts for gifts. Decided to stay for some lunch. This Café is staffed by volunteers and they do an excellent job. Friendly and efficient. There is a good variety on the menu of sandwiches, hot foods eg; lasagnas and quiches and really good bacon and egg rolls. We also decided to have some cakes. They come with cream, strawberries and raspberry sauce, yum. It was a relaxing place to eat – no one rushes you and the coffee is good too. The prices are comparable with other places around Taree so is well worth the effort to walk up the hill or park somewhere near. Will definitely go more often.
