In the middle of Gloucester District Park you’ll find the council-owned pool complex that’s been providing perfect swimming conditions for over 50 years.

For a small country town, Gloucester enjoys an exceptional range of sporting facilities that make it the envy of many larger centres, especially the Gloucester District Park. Here you'll find the council-owned Olympic Swimming Pool and Hydrotherapy Centre.

You’ll love the 50m lap pool, 15m wading pool with water feature & shade cover, toilets, change rooms, kiosk, first aid room, shady areas, picnic facilities & a fenced children’s play area.

The many benefits of swimming include health, enjoyment and lots of fun for the kids! The grassy area features 2 free electric barbecues and a gazebo that’s perfect for parties, work functions or even the extended family. Plus there’s free wi-fi available for those who can’t live without their technology close by.

The outdoor Olympic Pool is heated to 24°C and the Hydrotherapy Pool is heated to 34.5°C.

Entry was $6 for me. I think morning is the best time to go. If you’re sun smart, the trees shade the pool until ~10am, and there’s a shade over the shallow end, which does well with protecting you from the sun. Possible issue is patrons swim over the black line and think 7 swimmers means the pool is full. They left me with my own lane, and I kept left. Management are going to implement a keep-left campaign to get swimmers to swim left in the lane, increasing capacity from 7 to 70 and beyond. (like the rest of the world) Love the ‘60s pool, and it’s clean and well maintained. Staff are ultra nice. I give it 9/10.

A great community asset!! Clean, convenient, entry fee not too bad. Improvements would be a working BBQ please, and some hot food options in the canteen, especially on the weekend! If that was available, my family would spend more time there on a weekend around meal times.

Has a heated indoor therapy pool and full size Olympic swimming pool and a wading pool for the kids. Kiosk wasn't open on the day I went but menu board has a fairly big range of food. Cost was $5 for adults which was fair considering there were 3 lifeguards on duty and pool area was clean and well maintained
