Fresh and hearty southern Italian cuisine.

The Sicilian Restaurant is a bar and café in Forster overlooking Wallis Lake. Here you can enjoy an exquisite selection of fine southern Italian cuisine, serving up a gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner menu with accompanying desserts and drinks.

Our menu is inspired by the incredible produce, traditional cuisine and family recipes of the southern Italian region.

Sicilian food is not your typical Italian fare as it is also influenced by Greek, French, Persian and Spanish cuisine. The island is known for its abundant produce, and its simple dishes highlight the natural flavours of each ingredient.

Here at The Sicilian we use only the freshest ingredients, heartiest flavours and all the heart of nonna’s cooking. We don’t take life too seriously, and we love our food, wine, gelato and produce.

When you dine at The Sicilian, you dine with family, and we love any reason to celebrate. Our restaurants are located in Taree and Forster, and as our grandfather used to say – When you are in, you’re family.

Travel back in time to the 1940s/50s for a rustic yet chic Italian inspired dining experience. With excellently curated artifacts and period relevant decor the atmosphere and ambience achieves all that it set out to do. The "Godfather" inspired dining room complete with a family table fenced off behind a velvet rope is a nod to their inspiration/heritage. The food selection was decent but not perfect, yet the food itself was scrumptious and filling. The service was also great which was the icing on the cake for us. Definitely recommend checking out this spot if you are in town.

We walked in as we found the fit out super interesting. Quite a beautiful fit out and loved the name We only had a glass of wine however the place was busy and the wine we had was good . Worth popping in for a look . Pricing to us was fair .

Checking out the Google reviews, I found this Italian Restaurant across the road from Main Beach. Sicilian delivered the goods for us. Hubby had a good old Italian Pizza and I couldn't resist the Sicilian muscles. Well this deserved a 5 Star review. The only fault I had was that my meal could have done with either more garlic or chili. I found it a bit bland. However, I believe that this is the Sicilian style of cooking so I shouldn't complain. They certainly made up for it with fine service, meals came out in good time and were nice and hot, drinks were good, atmosphere & decor nice and with a view of the beach. Double shot flat white coffee is extremely good. We enjoyed our meal here.
