Taree is hosting a Regional Doubles Pickleball Tournament, the fastest growing sport in Australia!
Welcome to the Barrington Coast Regional Doubles Tournament, an official Pickleball Australia tournament, hosted by Hallidays Point Pickleball Club.
The tournament promises thrilling matches and competitive spirit as more than 350 people including players, spectators, officials and volunteers descend on Taree’s Wrigley Park for the two-day event, with players of all ages from across the eastern seaboard competing for a coveted medal.
Pickleball brings the community together in sport, competition, friendship and inclusiveness.
The "2024 USA Pickleball Official Rulebook" is used for the competition rules and kindly note this event is weather dependent.
What is pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport that you can learn in minutes and play for a lifetime. It brings together elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong!
Players use a solid paddle to hit a plastic ball over a low net, and the focus is on reflexes and aimings. It's a sport that's fun for all ages and skill levels.
