Here are just a few suggestions to tempt your tastebuds the next time you dine out in Diamond Beach, Black Head or Tallwoods.
Bronte Belo
The famous Brazilian café at Sydney’s Bronte Beach has a new little sister at Diamond Beach and is now open for dinner too. Enjoy espresso coffee over brunch or sample Brazilian meals like feijoada, moqueca, parto feito and those signature barbecue plates. The Brazilian nachos are also superb, with 12 hour slow cooked wagyu beef, but a delicious vegetarian option is also available.
Hot tip for breakfast: try the corn and zuccini fritters with avocado, smoked salmon and a side of poached egg. And to support our essential journey to sustainability, they encourage keep cups... and you'll get 50 cents off your coffee if you bring yours.
Hallidays Point Tavern
This contemporary pub in Black Head is really popular with locals and visitors and it's easy to see why: this is pub favourites done well. But take a moment to check their lengthy daily specials board featuring dishes from across the world. Regular live music and themed nights for dinner always draw the crowds plus locally brewed craft beers from The Coastal Brewing Co on tap. Hot tip: visit Thursday nights when the schnitzels are bigger than your hand and actually fill the plate!
Hallidays Sports Club
The new name for the much-loved Black Head bowling club up on the headland, you'll find all your club bistro favourites in a relaxed setting. Try char grilled meats and fish, healthy salads and Asian dishes.
Lupo’s
Traditional Roman-style pizza and pasta from the heart of Italy takes a gourmet twist at Lupo's Pizza & Pasta in Diamond Beach. Dine in or takeaway, it's hard to go past the Mediterranea or Quattro Formaggi but a proper Margherita or Capricciosa may just change your outlook on the world. Hot tip: start with the arancini and leave room for the house-made tiramisu.
The Bunker Bar
This bistro with fairway views at Tallwoods Country Club has delicious options for any time of day: breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily blackboard specials. There's also a burger and sandwich bar in case you're hungry after that winning birdie golf game. Try the smashed avocado with poached eggs, salsa and feta cheese crumble or the squid with a frozen cocktail for lunch.
The Point Bakery Café
Freshly baked goodies with a huge choice of house-made pies, quiche, sausage rolls, spinach rolls, fresh bread, croissants plus lots of sweet treats. So why not try a trifle for breakfast?
