Val Moogz is a queer Australian songwriter and recording artist based on Brinja-Yuin Country on the South Coast of New South Wales.
Drawing upon diverse musical influences ranging from Patti Smith’s powerful rock poetry, to Bill Withers’ great songs of soul, to the acoustic surf pop lullabies of Jack Johnson, Val Moogz finds inspiration in their daily encounters with others, nature and self to create relatable, soul-full songs for everyone. Val Moogz released their debut single ‘Gypsy’ in 2021, which was followed by two releases in 2022 of ‘The Sea’ and ‘With You’.
Having toured the East Coast of Australia in 2022 in celebration of ‘The Sea’ single release and again in 2023 as part of the ‘Winter Warmers Tour’, Val Moogz’ sights are currently set on the release of their debut EP.
