Escape the pressures of everyday living and enjoy the seclusion and privacy of one of our rustic country cottages. Relax in your private spa pool, pamper yourself with a massage in the comfort of your cottage, play a game of tennis, take a walk along 10km of white sandy beach or just sit on the dunes and read a book.

Catering primarily to adult couples wanting to relax and unwind in privacy, there are three cottages to choose from: Bluegum, Banksia and Paperbark. All are constructed from western red cedar with red iron roofs to create the atmosphere of a country cabin. Each has a large timber deck with large spa pool and gas barbecue. With about 100 metres between cottages the bushland setting provides almost total privacy in which to relax.

Melaleuca Retreat is situated on Mitchells Island where the north arm of the Manning River enters the sea just east of Taree.

I don't usually give reviews, but this is a must! Loved the stay here! The cottages have been renovated and the owners have installed new hot tubs which I have enjoyed with a glass of wine. A quick stroll on the property and we have access to a secluded beach, a pool and the games room. There are also plenty of animals to look at and they are friendly with your four-legged animal. Limited phone reception here so we relied on their wifi which works well! We will be back every chance we can!
