Nanette grew up in Newcastle and spent her summer holidays in, on and around the waterways and national parks of the Myall Lakes. In 1989 Nanette decided that she was not going home from her summer holiday and settled in Bungwahl to raise a family, swimming, surfing and climbing the headlands and walking the pristine beaches around Seal Rocks and Pacific Palms. A love of nature and education prompted Nanette to become a Discovery Guide for National Parks and Wildlife Service, and she loves sharing the stories of the region and interpreting the native flora and fauna to interested visitors.
