Bring light to your home with a unique, handcrafted lampshade! Join us for a special weaving workshop led by master Biripi weaver and artist Joedie Saunders.
You will learn the art of weaving and apply it to a vintage lampshade frame with grasses that have been hand dyed by Joedie. Various weaving stiches from basic to intermediate will be taught and an assortment of local grasses, natural fibers and colourful material to use on the day will be supplied, along with a lampshade frame.

What is supplied? We will supply needles, natural local grasses and dyed grasses, lampshade frames are also supplied (if you are bringing your own lampshade frame, please ensure it is stripped of fabric and glues before hand. We ask that you do not attempt to make a frame). It's ok if you don't finish the lampshade in class, you can take home some grasses with you to complete your design.
