"Tone does the heavy lifting; colour gets the glory"
Colour can be attractive, exciting and fun. But if we don’t pay attention to the lights and darks, our watercolour paintings can look weak and insipid. We will practice a two-step process to develop quick tonal sketches in watercolour. This simple method will give more impact and a greater sense of realism in our watercolour paintings.
Materials: All materials and equipment (paint, paper, boards, brushes etc) will be provided.
We will work from provided images of landscapes. This workshop is suitable for all levels of painting experience.
Cost: $70 per person (this includes $10 for the provided materials) for the workshop and is a fundraiser for GLAS. Non members cost is $100. Why not join? Membership of Great Lakes Art Society Inc. is $30 expiring in June.
The workshop is limited to 12 participants as an absolute maximum so an early response is advised.
