13 Mid North Coast artists from the Manning Fibre Group are exhibiting their works at the Great Lakes art Society’ Lake Street Gallery from June 26th to July 18th, 2021.
The group has a broad range of experience and skill in their art practice to offer the gallery visitor – from the traditional to the contemporary spinning & weaving, felting, eco dyeing, recycling, upcycling, to ephemeral works. All artists have exhibited widely with the group and other collaborations. Exhibiting locally as well as around the state.
These works are a reflection of the impact that major events such as drought, fire and floods of recent years have had on our local communities and environments. Some of the artists were affected directly and the art practice is a healing quality.
The artists will be at the gallery on Monday to Thursday during the exhibition adding to the usual Friday to Sunday to allow access 7 days a week. Artists will talk about their works with some demonstrating their skills.
