Shaw and Partners Forster Race Weekend
Ocean ski racing returns to the Barrington Coast April 21-23 2023 for Shaw and Partners Forster Race Week . The Forster Race Week is a mini-series within the Shaw and Partners the Australian Ocean Racing Series (AORS). The AORS is a national ocean racing series attracting competitors across a number of ocean racing disciplines including ocean skis, surf skis, stand up paddleboards, prone paddleboards and outrigger canoes.
- Shaw and Partners Welcome Dinner
Fri Apr 21st 6pm - The Sicilian Forster
Join us for a welcome dinner and drinks at The Sicilian, located on Forster Main Beach. Ocean racing star-studded guest speaker panel, 3-course meal and drinks. $25 per ticket available to purchase during online entry or by emailing Oceanpaddler – until sold out.
- Race 1: Shaw and Partners Nine Mile
Saturday Apr 22nd 1pm (approximately) - Black Head to Forster Beach 13km
Depending on wind conditions this event will run either Forster to Black Head or reverse covering 13km. In unfavourable conditions, we will have an alternative course.
**Start time will be based on wind conditions and may start anytime from 10am
- Race 2: Shaw and Partners Forster Ocean Classic
Sunday Apr 23rd 1pm (approximately) - Elizabeth Beach to Forster Beach 20km
This event will run from Elizabeth Beach to Forster Beach. Should wind be unfavourable the course will be run in reverse, use the Blackhead to Forster Course, triangular course off Forster or in extreme conditions Wallis Lake.
