Gloucester Rotary will be taking a Tag-a-long trip, The long way to Walcha. 2 days, 1 night, 4 x 4. Small Group, taking the scenic road, by small Donation. ($150 per car).

I am currently putting together a 2 day “Road less Travelled “trip from Gloucester to Walcha NSW on 18th and 19th of January, weather dependant. It will comprise of two days of mainly gravel roads via farmland, National Parks and Forestry with extraordinary views off the top of the Great Dividing Range, ranging from 150 metres ASL to over 1400metres ASL. Roads vary from tar, to winding dirt, slow farmland with many river crossing and endless views. 70% plus gravel, some slow.
The Trip is two long days just over 300km each taking around eight hours. Limited to 10 cars. Not limited to people. Start time is 630am.

A suitable car - You will need a high clearance 4 x 4 with good all terrain tyres. There is gravel, rocks and river crossings, defiantly no low-profile type tyres.
Accommodation
- Walcha has 2 pubs, 1 hotel motel, 1 motel, 1 caravan park with cabins plus other boutique accommodation. You arrange your own after being booked on the trip. You will need a sense of adventure!
Toilets
- There are few toilets on this trip, but lots of trees, you will need to be comfortable using the bush if needed.
Driving
- We will use common sense and similar to the “Cornerman System”. This is very easy and VERY important and will be explained pre leaving.
Meals
- Dinner will be pre-arranged. Lunch, coffee, morning tea, etc may be on the side of the road, and should be packed, more info closer to date.

Total Length 615km. Fuel length 250km, allow heavy fuel usage as a lot of steep winding roads. I will pre run the trip the week prior.

Cost, it’s a donation for a Women’s Health Project in Nepal. Facebook “The Butcher and Nepal
