Linda Gilbert returns to her home town of Taree for this intimate recital!
Linda Gilbert is an Australian-born violinist, international prizewinner, and is one of the few Australian alumni of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Russia. Her mentors included Shi-Xiang Zhang, Viktor Pikaizen and Maxim Fedotov, the latter "in admiration of Linda's most serious attitude to our profession and, in the best sense of the word, "fanatical" love of music and the violin...Linda Gilbert will occupy a most worthy place in concert life." Other leading musicians of our time such as Barnabas Kelemen, Kirill Troussov and Zakhar Bron have acknowledged Linda Gilbert's brilliant technique, musical artistry and deep sensitivity.
Now increasingly in demand as a professional soloist and chamber musician, Linda's enormous talent for teaching, especially nurturing young students has also been recognised and she is regularly invited to give lessons and masterclasses in Australia and abroad.
