Flow Project Community Lantern Making Workshops & Lantern Parade!

Manning Point, Mitchell Island and surrounding communities, we invite you to join in with the following fantastic community workshops. All Welcome!

The workshop facilitator, Ann will lead the group in constructing bamboo and paper lanterns, where participants will learn the basic techniques to create their own unique lanterns. Enjoy some light-hearted creative time together with neighbours and friends, old and new.

Together we will light up the night, featuring your unique lanterns at the FLOW Project lantern parade.

No prior experience or artistic inclination needed, as this workshop is guaranteed to be within your safety zone, and everyone is welcome.

Learn the skills to take on the collaborative challenge of constructing larger light sculptures for bigger impact! This workshop is sure to brighten your life.

PLEASE NOTE:

First workshop is at Oxley Island Community Hall on the 20th of May, 1pm to 4pm. Following workshops will be at Mitchells Island Community Hall on Saturday the 27th of May and the 3rd of June, 1pm to 4pm. All welcome to participate in the Flow Project Lantern Parade, 24th of June.

Following the lantern parade there will be a screening of the award-winning film 'Up Armidale Road' finishing the evening with a Musical Performance by Grace & Hugh and Band at Manning Point Bowling Club.
