Free Learn-to-Sail lessons at Coomba Aquatic Club.
It’s the sailing season and Coomba Aquatic Club has free learn-to-sail sessions for the whole family through till May.
Free Junior Learn-to-Sail lessons for boys and girls under 16 are held every Tuesday morning (9.30-11.30) during the school holidays from September to May, resuming on January 7.
Youngsters get their first taste of sailing in Open Bic dinghies. Even first timers usually master the basics of tacking and turning in the nimble, lightweight craft under the one-on-one coaching from an experienced instructor.
To wrap up each session, participants and parents are welcome to enjoy the free sausage sizzle lunch.
Please note: All participants must wear: a floatation vest (your own or borrow a club vest), water shoes, a hat, and water-resistant sunscreen. A parent or guardian must remain on site to supervise their child.
