Art exhibition by Australian Society of Miniature Art Inc (NSW)
This exhibition will provide insight into the modern version of miniature art, a world away from the tiny lockets and portraits of the past, opening the eyes of the viewing public to a new experience.
The Australian Society of Miniature Art has always encouraged experimental and innovative interpretations of the miniature form – members work in precious metals, enamelling and embroidery as well as collage, abstract and 3D works, along with more traditional media such as watercolour, oil or acrylic painting, printmaking, drawing and mixed media. One of the stated aims of the society is to inform and educate the viewing public about the background and development of the miniature and its place in today's world.
