Come join us for a fun-filled morning of creating beautiful fabric wall hanging art, where you combine sewing, painting, collage and textile.

Create your own unique fabric wall hanging art inspired by Mother and Daughter artists Heather and Kate Dorrough! Immerse yourself in the beauty and creativity of these very talented women to the backdrop of their current exhibition of pieces that blend textiles and visual art.

During this in-person event, you'll have the one off opportunity to meet the artist, learn about her inspirations, gain insights into both her and her late mothers creative process. Feel free to ask questions and engage in meaningful conversations as you explore the gallery.

This workshop is designed for parents, grandparents and children to all participate, working alongside and inspiring one another, as you make a collaborative textile hanging. Learn how to sew with a needle and thread and how to build up a collage different elements resulting in a magical layered textile work ready to take home and hang on the wall.

Kate will guide you to create intricate designs as she has mastered the art of fabric wall hangings. Be captivated by the vibrant colors, textures, and patterns that bring these artworks to life.

All materials are supplied including a cuppa in our break. Please bring snacks for lunch.

Two people are admitted for the price of one ticket for this intergenerational workshop where you will make one wall hanging between you to take home.
