Walk alongside an Aboriginal volunteer on this 4km tour in Copeland Tops State Conservation area near Gloucester. We’ll discover the traditional lands of the Worimi and Biripi people, at the scenic foothills of Barrington Tops.
Along the way, you'll connect with this beautiful country as you listen to cultural stories from Aboriginal guides and those of their ancestors.
Explore the rainforest overhung by strangler figs, shatterwood and grey myrtle. You’ll gain a unique insight into the wisdom of the world’s oldest living culture. Meander along the track to discover the amazing variety of native plants that were utilised for food, shelter and medicinal purposes.
Aboriginal culture is very much alive today in NSW national parks. Aboriginal people have always and will always have a deep connection with the landscape and everything in the landscape has significance including the land and waterways, plants and animals. This history will forever be an integral part of this landscape.
Please wear enclosed shoes and bring insect repellent, drinking water and snacks. The weather in this area can be unpredictable, so please ensure you're well-prepared for your visit.
Start and end date/time: Tours run first Sunday and Tuesday of every month in 2022, 10am to 12pm.
Grading: Medium. Suitable for adults and children 5 years and over. We’ll walk 4km and there are some steep staircase sections.

Getting there:
From Gloucester turn off Scone Road once you get to Copeland village, turning left into Copeland Road and follow this road to the carpark at the end.
Parking:
Free parking available at Hidden Treasure picnic area, at the end of Copeland Road after entering the park.
It can be a busy place on the weekend, so parking might be limited.
