Soak in the sounds of Anna Weatherup and Amy Vee live at Bohemian Cafe!

***This event has had a change of venue to Wingham House - previously scheduled for the Bohemian Cafe show.

Anna Weatherup is perhaps best known for turning all four chairs on The Voice in its second season, with her audition garnering over 1.2M views on YouTube. However, since that time, Anna has worked tirelessly to shape a truly unique and engaging creative identity, gathering a loyal community of followers via her many live shows and, during lockdowns, via live streaming on Twitch. Anna’s long-awaited album Crossing the Sea is slated for release on 3 March 2023 and singles have already been making waves including top 40 chart positions on iTunes and over 100k streams on Spotify. Anna also recently toured as a band member for Hayley Mary, playing several festivals in NSW and QLD and opening for Liam Gallagher at Aware Super Theatre in Sydney.

Amy Vee is an established and award-winning songwriter and performer with extensive touring experience in Australia and internationally. Like Anna, Amy has moonlighted as band member for other artists including Australian music royalty Jon English and Tim Freedman, all while building a solo career, opening for touring acts such as Luka Bloom, Passenger, Newton Faulkner, and Mark Seymour. Her award-winning self-penned body of work includes two solo studio albums, an EP, and several singles. Her latest offering will be a new album recorded live in her hometown at iconic venue Lizotte’s with a 6-piece band and expected for release in early April.

The tour comes after the two artists were forced to cancel a double headline show in 2021 due a to new pandemic lockdown being enforced only a few hours before they were due to take the stage.

“We’d been so looking forward to this show for a long time as both of has had new material ready to air live,” said Vee. “We’d pre-sold a lot of tickets, and it was crushing to have to turn people away at the last minute. Ever since then we’ve been trying to come up with a way to perform together again but we both have busy schedules to it’s been tricky to line something up”.

“After a bit of back and forth we worked out that we both had albums due out this year, so the time seemed right to plan a tour. Our styles are really complementary I think”, added Vee.

The shows will be comprised of two sets, each artist playing their own material, as well as few special onstage moments together.

“In our early conversations we worked out that we’re both really keen on the idea of giving people an experience,” said Weatherup. “People consume music in a really distracted way these days... I guess we’re trying to encourage audiences to allow themselves to be immersed in the moment. That’s why we’re keeping the shows small and intimate. We want to create a bit of shared magic,” she added.

Audiences can expect to be enchanted by these two accomplished and captivating artists.

** Please note** No table bookings, doors will open at 5:30pm for dinner prior to show. To ensure your preferred seating option we encourage guests to arrive as early as possible.
