Join us for our accessible Taree heritage trail sharing the historical tales surrounding Taree’s majestic Manning River.

You’ll gather as a small group on the River Street side of Fotheringham Park (outside Livvi's Place inclusive playground) and proceed from there. Following the trail, a light lunch will be provided at the new Taree Universities Campus building nearby. The total distance is approx 1.5 kms.

Who?

This event is primarily open to adults (18-45 years) living with mobility disability.

Bookings

Bookings are essential and can include one carer. If you have any specific dietary requirements, you’re welcome to bring your own food.

Why?

When a person’s disability involves mobility impairment, they often experience increased physical and social isolation. A 2022 report by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare indicates that 40 per cent of people aged 15-64 living with physical disability feel excluded from their local community. We want to offer individuals living with physical/mobility disability an opportunity to come together in their community, learn more about their region, and establish connections with others.
