How to get to Hallidays Point by car, train, coach or plane.

By car

Getting to the Manning Valley region of Hallidays Point is easy, follow the signs and you can’t miss this cluster of coastal villages: Hallidays Point, Tallwoods Village, Black Head, Red Head and Diamond Beach.

1. Failford Road

Driving from the south, take Failford Road exit ramp from the Pacific Highway north of Nabiac, and the journey to the centre of Hallidays Point along Black Head Road is 12 km and takes about 10 minutes. The village of Black Head is nearby on the coast just one km further. For Red Head village, take Diamond Beach Road off Black Head Road and you’ll be at Red Head 2 km later, in less than 5 minutes. Diamond Beach is the destination at the end of this road, the full journey to Diamond Beach from Failford Road exit ramp is 15 km and takes about 15 minutes.

2. The Lakes Way


Driving from the north, take The Lakes Way exit from the Pacific Highway south of Taree, and the journey to the centre of Hallidays Point along Black Head Road is 12 km and takes about 10 minutes. The village of Black Head is nearby on the coast just one km further. For Red Head village, take Diamond Beach Road off Black Head Road and you’ll be at Red Head 2 km later, in less than 5 minutes. Diamond Beach is the destination at the end of this road, the full journey to Diamond Beach from The Lakes Way exit ramp is 15 km and takes about 15 minutes.

From Forster, take The Lakes Way northwards through Tuncurry and turn into Black Head Road. This route to the centre of Hallidays Point along Black Head Road is 19 km and takes about 20 minutes. The village of Black Head is nearby on the coast just one km further. For Red Head village, take Diamond Beach Road off Black Head Road and you’ll be at Red Head 2 km later, in less than 5 minutes. Diamond Beach is the destination at the end of this road, the full journey to Diamond Beach from Forster is 21 km and takes about 25 minutes.

By train

The nearest railway station is Taree which is on the main northern rail line from Sydney to Brisbane. There are several XPT trains per day in both directions.
