We were heading up the north coast from Sydney just before christmas and stayed at Wallabi Point B&B on the first night of our trip. It was rainy day when we arrived, so we didn't go for much of a walk around the town but it was lovely to just sit out the back patio with a cup of tea and some biscuits, looking out on the garden and beyond. The bathroom was immaculate, the bed was super comfortable and Robyn and Philip were fantastic hosts. The breakfast was awesome, we had poached eggs on toast, fruit, yoghurt and more toast with a great coffee. Couldn't have been happier and can't recommend it highly enough!

I stayed at Wallabi Point B&B for four nights at the end of November. It was overall the best B&B I have ever stayed at! First of all this B&B only has one guest room or guest suite to be more precise. Guests not only get a bedroom and a very nice bathroom but also a separate lounge with a sofa, lounge chair, TV & DVD player (including DVDs) and kitchenette. There's a private patio and separate entrance for guests as well. All the furnishings are really nice - I particularly liked the throw cushions in the bedroom. The bed itself was heavenly. The service was nothing short of marvellous. Robyn & Phil are really nice people who like to have a chat and take care of their guests very well. When I arrived freshly baked cookies and cake were waiting for me in the lounge along with some Lindt chocolates. And there were new, different cookies and cake every day! In the fridge in the kitchenette there were free drinks as well as some packs of cheese and crackers, too. Whenever I went out I was offered free bottled water to take with me. They also provided an umbrella and beach towels. Breakfast was a choice of different hot foods (I tried the porridge oats and the ham & cheese croissant, both of which were great) and the best selection of fresh fruit and yoghurt I have ever seen and probably will ever see (see the photo and judge for yourself). And there was coffee & juice as well of course. The B&B is located about twenty minutes by car from Taree and it's about seven minutes by car to Old Bar where there's an ATM and several restaurants. There's a folder at the B&B with information regarding the dining options in Old Bar and I was glad I followed Robyn's advice to try the Thai place. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay near Taree - I doubt you'd find anything better!
