Multi award winner in Australia’s Best Pie Competition 2024!

Run by the Baking Association of Australia, this national industry competition has judge tastings over three days to savour every entrant.

In our region, Tunners Bakehouse at Tuncurry scooped eight Silver awards across five categories for their tasty range. Be sure to try one (or all) of these:

Class 3 – Flavoured Beef Pie: Curry
Class 5 – Seafood Pie: Seafood Mornay
Class 6 – Poultry Pie: Curry Chicken
Class 7 – Mushroom Pie
Class 8 – Gourmet Pie: Sweet barbecue brisket; Spicy pork; Brisket & jalapeno; Lamb & rosemary

And in The Great Aussie Pie Competition 2024 they won another two Silver awards and seven Bronze awards.

We bought the french vanilla slice and a passionfruit cheesecake slice. The french vanilla slice is one of the best I've eaten. The vanilla strength was good, and the consistency of the vanilla held well. The passionfruit cheesecake slice was amazing, and the flavour and consistency were excellent. Would definitely purchase again. The kids didn't like the cupcakes as they had too much buttercream icing on them.

If you want quality, range & Service, this cake shop is a winner. Remember the good old days when cake shops were everywhere. Now they're few and far between. So thank goodness for great traditional cake shops like Tunner's Bakehouse. You'll love em.!!

This place is the business. One of my best pie experiences. The Ned Kelly. Packed with flavour and the pastry is top tier. Also price makes it a regular winner. Do yourself a favour and check it out

We had the rosemary lamb pie and curry pie and they were both good pies. Then Portuguese and caramel tart and they were good as well. Coffees were probably not as good as some cafes but good for a bakery. All up a top notch bakery.
