A purpose-built mountain bike park next to the Barrington River.

The Steps Mountain Bike Park is a purpose-built biking facility with 3.5km of cross-country trails alongside the beautiful Barrington River at The Steps Barrington Campground.

Looking for some outdoor activity off the river? The Steps Mountain Bike Park includes a cross country loop with multiple challenges and a skills area for practicing body position, balance, gearing, braking, cornering and riding obstacles.

Please note: The Steps Barrington Campground is located at Bindera but you need to check-in first at the office of Barrington Outdoor Adventure Centre (126 Thunderbolts Way, Gloucester) before proceeding to the bike park within the campground.

The Cross Country Loop is 3.5 kilometres of single track suitable for riders of all skill levels. The loop rewards riders with flowing downhill sections, challenging climbs and log bridges set amidst a scenic riverside location on the Barrington River. Additional features of the bike park include a Pump Track for a full-body biking workout plus The Playground, a dedicated mountain biking obstacle course with options to suit specific skill levels of riders.

This is an amazing campground. Remote yet only 30 mins away from Gloucester for supplies. The campgrounds are well maintained, clean and mostly flat. The amenities are great with hot water available any time during the day and night. The only issue that I can criticise about the amenities are the lights. They only stay on for a very short period of time. If you don't bring any form of light whilst using during the night, you will find that you will be sitting in the dark halfway through using the facilities. The surrounding is relaxing, you can easily spend a day just swimming, paddling or fishing in the river or just reading a book or chilling out by the riverside. Would definitely be back here again.

Thanks Brian and Naomi for being so accommodating with both camping and kayak hire. We had an awesome time and the campground and facilities (including hot showers) have never been better.
