Skydiving NSW Drop Zone Taree takes you for a tandem skydive to experience the thrill and exhilaration of a freefall skydive, departing from Taree Airport.
Fly up to as high as 4 km (14,000 feet) where you climb out of the aircraft and enter the world of freefall.
A tandem skydive is the fastest and easiest way to experience the thrill and exhilaration of a freefall skydive. Attached to a tandem master, who is an experienced skydiving instructor, via your own harness system, you will experience the amazing sensations that accompany freefall without the responsibility of opening your own parachute.
All it takes is approximately 15 minutes preparation, a practice at the aircraft, then you are ready to board and fly up to as high as 4,267 metres (14,000 feet) where you climb out of the aircraft and enter the world of freefall.
Freefall lasts up to 60 seconds, reaching speeds of around 220 km per hour, before your instructor opens the parachute. Once the parachute is open, you are encouraged to assist the instructor in flying the parachute. Here you will have the best views of the Manning Valley and Barrington Coast.
The parachute ride can last up to 5 minutes. The quiet sensation of floating under our specially built parachute for two above the earth is something not to be forgotten, before landing at our drop zone.
You receive a certificate of achievement and membership to the Australian Parachute Federation on successfully completing the greatest adrenaline sport known to man.
We can also provide photo CDs and video DVDs of your experience to take away and share with friends to re-live the trip.
Minimum age requirement is 12 years.
Maximum weight of 95 kg.
Bring lace up shoes and wear casual sport attire.
