Refurbished heritage cottages at the historical Sugarloaf Point lighthouse.

If you have yet to stay in a lighthouse keeper’s cottage, you should indulge yourself with a stay at the historical Seal Rocks Lighthouse Cottages at Sugarloaf Point.

The precinct offers 3 fully equipped refurbished heritage cottages located at the northern tip of the Myall Lakes National Park, which boasts a stunning coastline.

Head Keeper’s Cottage - This charming cottage has three bedrooms to sleep 8. The bedding configuration is one bedroom with a queen bed, and two bedrooms with a queen and single bed. The bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub.

Assistant Keeper’s Cottage - These two comfortable cottages (North and South) each have two bedrooms to sleep 6. The bedding configuration is one bedroom with a queen bed, and one bedroom with a queen and single trundle bed. The living room also has a sofa bed.

Nearby, the Treachery Headland walking track offers impressive views of Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse, the rocky headland and the coastline. A short walk takes you on a journey through the park’s coastal rainforest and to the grassy headland where stunning views await. A sidetrack off the main one will take you down to the white sands of the secluded Treachery Beach. It’s a great spot for fishing and surfing. Just a short walk to the grassy headland is the perfect vantage point for whale and dolphin spotting. You can also see whales and dolphins from the comfort and privacy of your cottage.

Our stay at Seal Rocks lighthouse keepers cottages was a wonderful experience. The kitchens we're well equipped, the beds were comfortable. Julie was extremely welcoming and the physical setting was out of this world, dingoes, eagles, whales. What more could you want?

Great place for a weekend or holiday, the accommodation is great. Probably a bit overpriced, but I can't complain. It is still a great spot, especially for stargazing and astrophotography. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely stunning and amazing place. Could not be in a better spot anywhere and the lights from the lighthouse at night are amazing. I will be back as soon as lockdown is over.

Waking up to the sound of the waves and then looking out the window to find dolphins and hump back whales breaching was simply amazing. The cottage is homely and lovely. It is extremely isolated and wonderful. The lighthouse is stunning. I never want to leave and feel blessed to have experienced this place.
