Pezzella’s is a space created for the love of Italian food. Not just the food but the culture of food in Italy. To eat in Italy is synonymous of conviviality, togetherness – to share a bottle of wine with good friends, exchange stories, use your hands; it is an occasion.

Food in Italy is less about what sits on the grocer shelf but what your neighbor is growing this season or what is flourishing at the local farmers market or who in the town is slaughtering their pigs next. It is an all encompassing process from paddock to plate.

From our time in Italy, this is what we fell in love with. And what we strive to replicate at Pezzella’s. A small menu with an array of handmade traditional Italian dishes, with ingredients sourced as locally and organically as possible. Here at Pezzella’s we encourage big meals, great company, laughs, stories all shared over a bottle of wine or Negroni or two.

Top notch pizza! Really really impressed with the pizza style and also the combination of toppings, really well executed. Loved the use of local ingredients and suppliers (Burraduc Buffalo Cheese is amazing!) Would go back for any day for the Carciofo (love a white pizza!) And the fried dough starter was incredible. You can tell it is a young team, passionate about what they are doing and giving it a red hot crack! Great beers on tap too!

Great tasting food, tucked away in a nice little place. Service was a little slow but the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent variety of pizzas! Definitely something to suit everyone. The small plates were also quite good. Would've loved a lot more variety on pasta choices but the ragu was amazing! All in all, definitely one to visit if you love authentic Italian food!

A fabulous Italian restaurant, the menu caters for different tastes with creative flair. Not the same old, run of the mill Italian menu. The adage of keep it simple and use the best/freshest ingredients applies. It was so good that we dined in the first night and went back the second for pizza to takeaway! It was an easy wait of just 5 mins for a pizza with a stroll lakeside. Staff were cheerful and attentive.

Definitely book in advance. Same for other restaurants in the vicinity. The town is vibrant with diners at night. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Ordered Zucca in small plates menu, vegetarian gnocchi and tiramisu. Recommend the tiramisu, which is best shared between two people. It has the classic robustness of espresso coffee, the sweetness of mascarpone cheese and a cool temperature. Parking at the back lane near river. A short stroll to the other side of the road from under bridge is an option.

Great pizza place in Forster! Partner and I came in for a dinner on a busy Wednesday evening. Got a great seat at a table by the windows with a view of the sunset over Wallis Lake. The food itself was mostly great, we enjoyed the appetiser thoroughly and the margherita pizza we ordered was exceptional. We were a bit let down by the prawn ravioli which we both felt was a bit bland for our liking. Desert itself was also fair but not the most exceptional. Great selection of drinks from various cocktails to a great variety of beers and wines to choose from. We enjoyed all the cocktails we tried, particularly the basil smash which tasted fresh and crisp! Service was great overall however a bit slow at times, completely understandable considering how busy it was however! Overall it was a great experience for us, we will likely return for the pizza however may try a different pasta next time (the gnocchi pesto looked very enticing and perhaps we should have gone for that instead!). Would recommend :)
