A couple's retreat with charming country style at Coopernook in the heart of the Manning Valley.

Situated in the historic village of Coopernook, 20kms north of Taree and 50kms from Port Macquarie, it's the perfect stopover on your way from Sydney to Byron Bay and Queensland

Designed as a couples retreat, it may be a welcome interlude on your journey north or south or make it your destination for a peaceful weekend. There are beautiful beaches, rivers and the great dividing range to explore while you are here.

McGowans is one of the oldest homes in the area with high ceilings and wood-panelled rooms dating back to 1910. The suites are large and comfortable, both with ensuites and enough room to relax if you wish to simply rest and enjoy the house.

McGowans is a perfect location for a special occasion, your wedding night, birthday or anniversary. During winter the fire will be lit for your arrival and an elegant breakfast can be served at a time of your choice.

his is one of the most beautiful BnB’s I have ever stayed in! The rooms are sympathetic to the history of the building with all the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel. The rooms are very big and spacious! Ken and Sal were very accommodating for our arrival and cooked us a delicious breakfast! I will definitely consider coming back for a weekend!

manly sydney 23 A Beautiful place to stay. A beautiful place to stay We have stayed here 3 times now when travelling between Sydney and the far NSW coast. The rooms, the extras, the breakfasts ,the hosts, were all fantastic.Ten out of ten! A comfortable, relaxing and superb place to stay. It is an easy 15 minute drive into the small towns of Harrington and Crowdy Head where you can have a walk along the beach and river and have dinner. But if you prefer Ken and Sal also offer to cook for you at night. This is where we will always stay when travelling north. Date of stay: April 2019

Food was amazing, best breakfast ever. Sal and Ken go beyond great service, from breakfast to all the little amenities in the room there is nothing more you could want let alone need. The room not only looks amazing but is super comfortable and homely.

We've been to quite a few B&Bs in Australia and I must say that McGowans B&B is our favourite. Amazing rooms with beautiful breakfast! The owners are absolutely lovely as well. Will definitely visit again the the future
