McBrides Beach is in the northern part of Booti Booti National Park at Cape Hawke at Forster. It's accessed only via a steep walking track, completed in 2020.
It's one of those beaches that has you instantly mesmerised and is as good as it looks. It really is the ideal place to escape for the day.
The foot track to McBrides Beach starts at the carpark halfway up the hill. The connecting track to Burgess Beach also starts there. The foot track to the lookout starts at the carpark at the top of the hill where the road ends.
This beach is not patrolled.
There is no 4WD access and camping is not permitted.

Good walk down hill from the car park. Great track not washed away. Beach is well worth it. Washed up cow leg made the northern end stink but the rocks pools down the south end made it worth it. Lots of little fish, crabs and prawns to see in the pools. Lots of washed up timber from the floods but it’s washed high up the shore doesn’t take away from the beach or view.

Easy enough walk in, took about 20 minutes at a casual pace, with young kids and grandparents. The walk back out was a little more difficult as it’s uphill, but the beach was well worth putting up with the whinging. Beautiful and secluded. Bring a reliable mosquito repellent as there were plenty, and they were quite hungry, but only during the walks in and out, not on the beach itself. Lovely rock pools to explore, and one that was refreshing for the whole family to sit in as it was refreshed by waves topping it up. Plenty of parking available. No 4WD access, and camping isn’t permitted.

A spectacular remote beach, generally without crowds thanks to the short but steep walk in. It can be wild and unswimmable, or completely calm, depending on the ocean conditions. The beach faces north east, so, best to go there when swells are low and southerly. Amazing rock pools to explore, take snorkelling gear and have a look around!

100% worth doing if you can handle grade 3 bushwalk. Easy walk to the beach but pretty steep on the way back. The beach is amazing. Both times we went there this month we had the whole beach to ourselves. You can swim in the rocks area on south end or swim in the beach. North end there is a cool little (tiny) cave. Last year we saw a huge snake on the beach but this year we just saw one huge and one small Goanna. If I lived near here I'd go here everyday (for the exercise and the beauty).
