Nice host but over crowded and their policy with pets meant we had a spot at the back, behind a row of sites in front of the river which was a mud pit. Got bogged and spent 3 days walking in mud. Not the best exp I wouldn’t book if it’s going to rain, you have a pet and it’s peak as you will be disappointed.

Be advised that non white people ain’t so welcomed here. The management was pretty racist and didn’t wanted to serve us

Beautiful local camp ground run by lovely people, great swimming spots and large firepits. Wood can always be bought if you run out, hot showers and a great ambience

Be advised that this area has paralysis ticks, so wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog. Not completely “dog friendly” Me and my dog were both bitten. We visited in early October. Would have appreciated some warning while checking in. My dog is now being hospitalised

Can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful oasis in the current dry times. Friendly owners Mick & Jackie are doing their best to regenerate the riverbank despite wandering cattle from neighbours property. Amenities clean & great hot showers. The Silky Oaks we’re out in all their gold glory giving us the morning chorus from the happy bird life. We extended our stay it was so enjoyable
