Gidget is a modern take on the Australian beach house. at Boomerang Beach.
Gidget is designed around a lush tropical courtyard and positioned to capture dappled sunlight all day long on her spacious entertainers’ deck. Alternatively, you can hit the beach located just across the road- it’s so close you won’t even need to take a towel! This three-bedroom luxury home is all about relaxing amid the beauty of Boomerang Beach.
Gidget began life as one of Boomerang Beach’s earliest humble beachside cottages. In 2010 talented local builder and designer ‘Gav’ created an exceptional and contemporary addition, with bespoke interior details and finishes blending the existing cottage with the new form.
Her main living area (kitchen, dining, living and outdoor deck) connects the two ‘sleeping’ wings at either end of the property allowing parents and children, or groups of friends, to enjoy their privacy at night. Beautiful local reclaimed blackbutt timber features throughout, and Gidget’s show stopping rammed earth walls create a cosy backdrop for the fireplace in winter and for her outdoor deck in summer. Gidget has been designed to make the most of her sunny aspect with large sliding doors opening out onto her beautiful setting and tropical location.
If you haven’t visited Boomerang Beach before, you have been missing out! It’s across the road from Gidget- there’s one access track 75 metres to the right and another one 100 metres to the left. You can also walk to Bluey’s Beach in five minutes, or drive to Elizabeth Beach in two minutes. Wallis Lake sits a five minute drive to Gidget’s west, and the bright lights, big city vibe of Forster-Tuncurry is a twenty minute drive to the north.
