Cellito Beach is a great surf beach with sweeping views towards Seal Rocks.

Walking along a stunning boardwalk under the canopy of the littoral rainforest. The sound of the waves will lead you along the winding boardwalk before you pop out to a small wooden platform overlooking the turquoise waters and white sand.

The southern end of this beach is called Sandbar, where there is 4WD access via Sandbar and Bushlands Holiday Park (4WD permits available from the store). Alternatively you can walk the edge of Smiths Lake to the southern end of the beach.

Smiths Lake is manually opened to the ocean when it reaches a certain height. The incoming and outgoing tides create an oasis in the lake with crystal clear pools forming along the lakes edge. On sunny days, the lake resembles something like Whitehaven Beach or even the Maldives!

PLEASE NOTE: Cellito and Sandbar Beaches are not patrolled. Please exercise caution when swimming at these locations.

When Smiths Lake is opened at Sandbar Beach it creates a coastal paradise. The headland of Cellito Beach is visible in the background

Driving on a gravel road through the bush to a car park, then walking on a well maintained timber footpath for about 100 metres to the beach. Very clean sand and water. The beach is nice.  Good surfing spot as well as long beach walk. No shops or food or toilets

A huge gorgeous beach, accessible through 500m of boardwalk in the rainforest. The headland makes for a gorgeous back drop and there was the constant sound of whipbirds in the bushes behind the beach which added to the atmosphere. The rocks on the right created little pools where marine life abounds
