Bohnock Bait & Tackle is located on the shores of the Manning River - approx 5 kms from the beachside village Old Bar.

Bohnock Bait & Tackle started operation in 1998 supplying fresh locally caught prawns from our fishing business - 15 years later we have grown into a local bait and tackle store supplying fishing tackle and bait, fresh seafood, locally grown oysters , a selection of chandlery and a range of hire boats and kayaks.

Great store owner who was extremely helpful in helping us get a good setup for the day and recommending some good local spots to check out.

Mark the owner and proprieter of this little business situated besides the boat ramp and adjacent to the Bohnock bridge that spans it structure over the Manning River South Passage caters to not only the traveling fisho but to many locals who reside on Oxley and Mitchell islands respectively..Mark sells not only bait but has a nice range of fishing tackle for sale also...During holiday periods boats and small craft such as kayaks etc can also be hired from this location for visiting tourists and locals alike...It's not often I give a 5 star rating but Mark has definitely earned this rating with great up to date fishing advice and friendly service... Since he likes to keep his margins down prices for bait and tackle are very reasonable and many other like minded businesses located within the Taree district would do well with adopting Marks down to earth attitude while extending service to customers new and old alike...
